The user sends their beetles to spread over a wide range, and the moment they locate the target, the insects gather at once, forming a sphere around the target. They then attach themselves to the target and begin eating away at their chakra. Even if the target manages to escape, the insects will immediately follow.
A cloud of beetles appears at the point you designate. They are made up of whichever beetle type is being used by the caster, and thus might have further special qualities, look at the beetle description to see what changes they make in a jutsu.
This cloud does not obscure sight, nor does it provide cover, but if an enemy enters it or travels through any space the cloud occupies, they must make a reflex save or be treated as checked. They are not prevented from using jutsu, but they cannot move forward through the cloud. A successful save means that the enemy can travel through it without any difficulty. Each round spent within the cloud each opponent takes 4 points of chakra drain per beetle level used when casting this jutsu (if it was cast at a higher rank with the heighten jutsu feat, for example).
