Hiding in Ash Technique
|Hand Seals:||Snake → Tiger|
|Casting Time:||1 standard action|
|Range:||Medium (100 ft)|
|Area:||50 foot spread|
The user expels chakra-infused ash that blanket a wide area, burning anyone who comes in contact with it. The technique can also be used as a powerful deterrent from attacks as well as a highly effective smokescreen.
The cloud of ash spreads to 50 feet within a round, and lasts for a number of rounds equal to the caster level/2. The fog obscures all sight, though sensing chakra or seeing chakra is not affected, beyond 5 feet. A creature within 5 feet has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker can’t use sight to locate the target).
The user can choose to ignite the ash, and the explosion deals 10d6 points of fire damage to all creatures within the cloud, which includes the caster, if they are still within the area.
